Project Shalom

Project Shalom's mission is to provide support and community to adults living with anxiety, depression or other related diagnosis.

Program Description: Project Shalom offers adults who live with depression, anxiety or other related diagnosis a weekly opportunity to engage in a variety of activities and projects in a supportive, social atmosphere. Project Shalom is a program of JFS Disability Services.

Weekly meetings offer group members a sense of belonging, support and friendship. Facilitated by a master's level social worker, each meeting includes a hot kosher lunch and a planned therapeutic/educational activity such as:

  • Jewelry making
  • Glass fussing
  • Candle making
  • Jewish and secular holiday celebrations
