Services

Our licensed professionally trained Jewish chaplain provides spiritual comfort and guidance for patients, families, and staff. Our chaplain educates physicians, healthcare workers, students of Clinical Pastoral Education and volunteers in the healing role of spirituality and the Jewish religion.

We provide the following services for patients:

• Visits to hospital patients
• Spiritual direction and development
• Supportive counseling
• Community connections
• Holiday celebrations
• Jewish prayer, blessings and rituals for healing
• Assistance in obtaining single donor platelets
• Jewish hospice spiritual care at home or inpatient setting
• Referrals to Jewish Family Service
• Consultations
• Assistance finding caregivers
• Collaboration with local clergy and the community to coordinate care
• Referrals to local doctors for out of town family members in need
• Assistance in finding food, housing and other resources
• End of life information and counseling

Our trained volunteers offer comfort and care during their daily visits and they provide:

• Shabbat Boxes
• "Soup in a Cup"
• Prayer pillows
• Nosh bags
• Holiday gift bags and prayer books
• Blankets
