Outreach to Senior Adult Community
- Friendly Visitors Program:
Volunteers are matched with a senior client in our community. These clients are often homebound and our visitors provide a connection to the outside world through weekly visits and/or phone calls. The volunteers are all background screened and trained to be an extra set of eyes for our case management staff. If you know of a senior that may need this service, please reach out to our Senior Adult Casemanagement department (713) 667-9336. If you are interested in volunteering to be a Friendly Visitor, apply here.
- Music and Spirit Program:
Through the beautiful music of Cantor Tunitsky's voice and violin, this program adds personalized musical outreach to seniors in more than 20 assisted living facilities or nursing homes through presentations, concerts, life cycle events and religious services, as well as providing outreach to home-bound seniors or those recovering from an illness. ADD: Please contact Cantor Tunitsky directly.
- Senior Chavurot:
Jewish content presentations and musical performances are brought into local senior living facilities on a monthly basis. If you, or someone you know, is interested in assisting with this type of outreach, please contact Elyse Kunkick or 713-667-9336 x232.
